Here I am sitting at my desk with completely sore muscles. My arms ache like I have carpal tunnel, my legs feel like I just ran a 15k race without any training, and my body is telling my eyelids to close so my body can rest and regain its energy and heal from its most recent physical situation.
Why am I feeling this way? This weekend we moved into a new home. This week the stress talked about in the previous post rose to an all time high when I had to sit down with the title company and sign a pile of papers that I have no idea what they say. I recently heard that when one closes on a home if they would actually read all the paperwork that they signed it would take him 18 hours to read all of it and by the time they are done signing, they will have signed their name more than 50 times. Ahhh the stress, and when I had to sign the paper that shows me the total amount that I will be paying after 30 years including interest and principal, suddenly I got this feeling of despair inside of me and I felt like I just fell into a black hole that I will never be able to get out of. I am sure others that have been through this know what I am talking about.
This weekend we moved everything that I own from our apartment to the new home. I am greatly appreciative of the help that I received this weekend. There is no way that I could have done it by myself. This was made obvious to me about the second trip of boxes and furniture that was taken to the new home when I about collapsed from exhaustion after hauling a dual reclining couch up a flight of stairs. I could have sworn that I saw little birdies flying around my head when I was lying on the ground recovering.
If you want to have the details, it is a 2100 sq. ft. twin home, with 3 bedrooms, 2 and ½ bathrooms, a huge living room, and a family room, with a 2 car garage. It is positioned at the base of a mountain so when in the back yard I can look up about 2500 feet and see the horizon and out the front I have an excellent view of the valley.
In a couple days I will post some photos of the place and share a little more of the experience in getting the place. So stay tuned.
